These questions are commonly asked by organisers and participants in Story Tent days. The Story Tent Team will continually adapt and update this article as new questions and observations are fed into the network by participants.
Who can participate?
Anyone who would like to be involved in sharing and listening to stories from varied faith traditions or worldviews.
Which faiths and worldviews can be considered?
Any which have texts as 'carriers of meaning' for their communities.
How should texts by treated when children are working with them?
Some of the texts carry significant meaning for people, especially when in the original language. Whilst we use a translation of the original text, it is important to treat them with respect.
What if a child asks a question to which I don't know the answer?
Be honest and say that you don't know. Let them know that if you are able to find the answer then you will tell them subsequently.
